The 2024 Hyundai Archery World Cup season closed in Tlaxcala, Mexico, on 19 and 20 October 2024, with the top-ranked archers from the year's three stages in Shanghai, Yecheon and Antalya meeting in the season final.
Individual results
| Event | Gold | Silver | Bronze |
|---|---|---|---|
| Recurve men | Kim Woo-jin (KOR) | Lee Woo-seok (KOR) | Marcus D'Almeida (BRA) |
| Recurve women | Li Jiaman (CHN) | Deepika Kumari (IND) | Alejandra Valencia (MEX) |

Kim Woo-jin, two months after winning three Olympic golds in Paris, beat his team-mate Lee Woo-seok in an all-Korean recurve men's final. Li Jiaman won her first World Cup Final, defeating India's Deepika Kumari in straight sets, with home favourite Alejandra Valencia taking bronze in front of the Mexican crowd.
The 2024 season
| Stage | Dates | Location |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 23–28 April | Shanghai, China |
| 2 | 21–26 May | Yecheon, South Korea |
| 3 | 18–23 June | Antalya, Türkiye |
| Final | 19–20 October | Tlaxcala, Mexico |
Why it matters
The World Cup Final is the season's most selective event: only the leading archers in each category qualify. Sara López's victory continued a run of compound women's final wins that had been broken only once since 2016, a streak that would become a talking point when a new champion emerged in Nanjing a year later.
