South Korea completed a clean sweep of the five archery gold medals at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which ran from 25 July to 4 August at the Esplanade des Invalides. It was the first time any nation had won every archery title at a single Games since the current five-event programme was introduced.
Kim Woo-jin and Lim Si-hyeon each left Paris with three gold medals, and Lim opened the competition with a world record in the women's ranking round.

South Korea finished the archery medal table with five gold, one silver and one bronze. France and the United States took two medals each.
Records in the ranking round
Lim Si-hyeon set a new world record of 694 points from 72 arrows in the women's individual ranking round on the opening day. The Korean women then combined for an Olympic team record of 2046 points.
Kim Woo-jin becomes the most decorated Olympic archer
Kim's three victories took his career total to five Olympic gold medals, the most won by any archer. The men's individual final against Brady Ellison went to a single-arrow shoot-off after the two archers finished level on sets. Both shot a 10, and Kim's arrow was measured closer to the centre.
Ellison's silver was his fifth Olympic medal across five Games and his first in the individual event.

Why it matters
- Korea's recurve programme remains the benchmark. The sweep, following four of five golds at Tokyo 2020, underlined the depth produced by its domestic selection system.
- Lim's 694 reset the standard for women's ranking rounds and is the score every recurve archer now measures against.
- Les Invalides demonstrated how a temporary urban venue can draw large crowds to archery, a model organisers have pointed to for future Games.
