Hyundai Motor Company and World Archery announced on 16 December 2025 that their partnership will continue through 2028, covering the full Los Angeles Olympic cycle. Hyundai has sponsored World Archery's major events since 2016.
What the renewal covers
| Property | Status |
|---|---|
| Hyundai World Archery Championships | Title sponsorship retained |
| Hyundai Archery World Cup and Final | Title sponsorship retained |
| World Archery Para Series | New; launches in 2026 |
| Indoor Archery World Series | Added to the agreement |
The World Archery Para Series is a new development-focused circuit for athletes with disabilities. According to the announcement it will be staged in six countries in its first season, including Thailand, Chile and the United States.
Hyundai also said it will introduce a robotic mobility activation at major events as part of the expanded agreement.
Why it matters
Title sponsorship underwrites prize money, broadcast production and the finals-arena format that has defined World Cup events for a decade. Extending it through 2028 gives World Archery budget certainty into the first Olympic Games to include compound archery, and the new Para Series gives para archers a regular international calendar between Paralympic Games and world championships for the first time.
For fans and newcomers, the practical effect is more events on the calendar and continued free streaming of finals, which is how most people now watch the sport.
